Geneva Landscape

Many of the native plants chosen for this landscape actually grow in communities with oaks and hickories in the wild, so they are compatible and will actually benefit the trees. Before this landscape was installed the homeowner scattered mulch in those areas where the grass wasn't growing so the yard wasn't so muddy after a rainfall.
Before After

Now the garden has an under-story of native trees and shrubs, along with a herbaceous layer of savanna plants just like natured intended, and the oaks and hickories are smiling.
