The current patio was made larger to better accommodate the patio furniture and a sitting wall provides additional seating. A path meanders from the patio through the prairie garden to the upper garden and back to the main path. The existing garden at the back was terraced with natural stone and steps were added to allow access to/from the prairie garden. The prairie garden, just installed in 2007, offers beauty, interest, habitat & many benefits all year round in an area that was once occupied by lawn. The homeowners can enjoy their garden up close on their Aldo Leopold bench.
